Joint Committee
The Joint Committee is composed of equal numbers of students and members of the full-time academic and artistic staff. Nominations for membership are made separately by each of these two groups.
The Joint Committee deliberates on the allocation of the budget for earmarked study grants intended for investments or staffing measures aimed at improving study conditions within the department. The budget for staffing costs is capped.
In addition to the faculty-level joint committees, there is also a comparable university-wide body known as the Central Joint Committee. Its members are: the Vice-President for Teaching, the Chair of the Conference of Deans of Studies, a dean, a member of the Senate and four students.
