Translation-oriented research

At the Department of Applied Social Sciences, research is practice-oriented and transdisciplinary, and contributes to the empirically grounded addressing of societal challenges. Research and teaching are intertwined through Praxis research projects and student-led teaching research.

Further education and training

Knowledge transfers and professional development often go hand in hand. New scientific findings and new practical requirements make it necessary for skilled workers to undertake further training, for which we offer a range of different formats.

Collaborations with practice partners

Innovative design and further development of professional practice and academic study require collaboration between practitioners and academics. Through our partnerships, we work together to shape this endeavour, to which we each contribute different knowledge and skills, but for which we share joint responsibility.
