Transfer HUB

We are currently developing a hub (Transfer HUB) to promote the research-based transfer of ideas, knowledge and technology in the fields of social services, education and healthcare. We have committed to this in our department and university development plan.

A first step towards establishing the Innovation Hub was securing funding for an innovation professorship in ‘Theory-Practice Transfer and Social Entrepreneurship’, which Professor Dr Annette Korntheuer will take up from the summer semester of 2024.

The innovation professorship is intended to help bring together existing initiatives and programmes, promote a coherent strategy for successful interaction between the university, the (social) economy and society, support spin-offs for the social and healthcare sectors, and make new structures and expertise available to facilitate the creative transfer of ideas, knowledge and technology.

From the winter semester of 2024 to the summer semester of 2026, we will be organising a participatory process as part of the ‘Let’s talk about -TRANSFER-’ series of events, with the aim of developing, as a community of practice, key structures for practical alliances and innovations.
